Guttermind:This is a gallery
of pictures I took in the spring of 2004. I call it Guttermind becuase
the photographs are only of discarded items that I would see in the gutter
and along sides of buildings when I would take my daily walk through Hollywood.
I started taking these photos after visiting the Robert Doisneau exhibit
at the Getty Gallery at the Downtown Los Angeles Public Library. This
quote was posted on the wall:
"[Jacques] Prevert taught me to have confidence in teh discovery of
everyday objects that people didn't see anymore because they were contemptous
of them, too used to them. He found ordinary words, used every day, and
presented them to people as if they were precious jewels."

Thai Town/Little Armenia: This gallery
is a group of photos that I took of Hollywood Blvd. architecture. Taking
a cue from Berenice Abbot and Eugen Atget I tried my best to photography
these storefronts without people or cars in them. Oftentimes I would have
to wait an hour or more for the right moment.
