Gotta’ Go To Work
I wake up in the morning and press the snooze button
I jump into the shower and hope to get to work by ten
I stop off at the café and grab a bran muffin
The cappuccino and chocolate are my true friends
Pushing and shoving and starved of all loving
I drive into work
However much money I seem to be making
It never really amounts to much
And however much crap I seem to taking
It’s only so that I can buy more stuff
Pushing and shoving and starved of all loving
I settle into work
Fax machines and email screens
Make my toes curl
I can’t wait to take my coffee break
So I’ll finally get to talk to the copy room girl
Well I’ve got my lunch hour all worked out
I’m going to get back late and blame it on a crowd
And then tea time is just around the corner
And soon I’ll be off to Happy Hour
Pushing and shoving and starved of all loving
I drive home from work
